No News is Good News

It has been a busy few weeks while at the same time being mostly uneventful, in all the best ways.  Rachel came through the PET scan, colonoscopy, and surgery with flying colors. We spent a week in the hospital recovering and have now had two weeks at home.

Rachel is strong. She is recovering much faster than the last time and these last few weeks of being home as a family have been such a blessing. It has been so great to be able to go out to our freezer and pull out homecooked meals made by so many people who love us.

We have a few more weeks before we return to Seattle for Avastin, in the meantime we get to rest and focus on continued recovery after surgery.

Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers. I can’t tell you how great it is to not have anything dramatic or painful to share with you. It feels like this chapter of our story has come to a joyful close. We may not know what is next, but we know we’re happy to move on from these last seven months.
